Opening Reception: May 2 at 4 - 7pm

The Hudson River is both movement and stillness—a constant presence that grounds and directs.

Living between Piermont and New York City, I move with it daily. My work mirrors that rhythm. I drop alcohol ink onto the surface and allow it to flow, spread, wind, and bloom—guiding it, but not controlling it.

Each painting captures a moment of motion and release. Gold traces the path of energy, while areas of light create pause.

HOMEWARE

The home becomes an extension of the canvas — a space where color lives beyond the frame. These pieces translate the language of ink into objects of daily ritual, carrying gesture, translucence, and movement into the intimate architecture of interior life. Pigment softens into atmosphere; abstraction settles into texture and form. What once existed as a singular composition now unfolds across surface and space, allowing art to be touched, inhabited, and quietly integrated into the rhythm of living.

FASHION

Suzanne Sunshine is a painter and surface pattern designer working at the intersection of abstraction and couture, where alcohol ink becomes both medium and language. Her practice moves fluidly between canvas and textile, transforming gesture into objects that inhabit space — worn, collected, and lived in. Rooted in art history and sustained by an ongoing exhibition practice, her work is a disciplined meditation on material, form, and presence.
