I had no idea what was to follow when I painted my first painting at the Art Student's League last September. I had been studying collage for twenty years there since 1989. I was an art history specialist in college of early abstract expressionist painting and sculpture. I was the assistant art curator of the Equitable Building in NYC upon graduation. I was awed by the history of contemporary painting in NYC and it took great courage to put brush and paint to canvas.
